Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism
in Uruguay:

Chagdud Gonpa Sengue Dzong

Chagdud Gonpa Hipanoamerica Foundation is a International network of Chagdud Gonpa centers established by the late, revered meditation master, H.E. Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. He wanted stabilishing the Dharma in the spanish countries, now under the spiritual direction of Chagdud Khadro, Rinpoche's wife, whom he ordained as a lama in 1997.
Our monastery in Uruguay, Chagdud Sengue Dzong, is placed in "Aguas Blancas", state of Lavalleja (South America). In this land we built two retreat houses, now we are working in the construction of our Tibetan Temple and then we will make a big wheel prayer. This monastery will be the main center of Chagdud Gonpa for the spanish conutries.

This is a grate oportunity to take retreats and studies in the Nyingma tradition teached by Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. You can see Chagdud Sengue Dzong's images here:

Chagdud Rinpoche

"If I were to leave only one legacy, it would be the wisdom of pure motivation. If I were to be known by one title, I would like it to be the “motivation lama” . In the moment that our heart moves toward compassion for all beings, our motivation expands toward the all-embracing motivation of a bodhisattva".

His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche was born in Eastern Tibet (Kham) in 1930. Recognized at the age of four as a tulku (incarnation of a meditation master), he received rigorous training, deepening his studies through extended retreats. He had a special affinity for the sacred arts, for Tibetan medicine, and he was renowned for his wonderful chanting voice.

Chagdud Khadro

khadroChagdud Khadro met His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche in March 1978, married him in November 1979, and remained his devoted student for twenty-three years. At the time of her ordination as a lama in 1997, Rinpoche invested her as the future Spiritual Director of Chagdud Gonpa Brasil. Since Rinpoche's Parinirvana in 2002, she has focused on maintaining the high caliber of Vajrayana training he had established. Today Chagdud Khadro is tireless in cultivating the seeds planted by H.E. Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche: the construction of Padmasambhava’s Pureland, translation and publishing of texts in Portuguese and Spanish, projects related to education and to death and dying. Khadro supervises the activities and teaches in all the Chagdud Gonpa Brasil centers and Chagdud Gonpa Hispanoamérica. She also teaches in Europe, United States and Australia.
